"Northwest Elements"… So named because this special series of work is inspired by and based upon ‘elements’ of Traditional Native Northwest Art. We utilize the elements, designs and meanings of these ancient patterns in our pottery, creating our own interpretation of this meaningful and locally historic art-form.

Ravens, whales, salmon and loons tend to form the parameters of these special pieces.  But what makes this work so special to us is both the origins of the designs and the fact that, perhaps more than any other ‘patterns’ that we do, these are very much one of a kind pieces.  Interestingly, the roots of this series date way back to the ‘Klee-Wyk’ studio days that preceded Crow Valley Pottery.  Oh, and in addition to out typical pieces of plates, bowls, platters, and the like… the “Elements” series lends itself extraordinarily well to ‘individual’ art pieces like out Totem Tile Panel, mosaics (‘tile panels’) and whatever else springs from our fertile studio!!!
