….. Angel from above
Most Islander’s know Margery. We found
her a few years back now….slaving away at Razor’s Edge, cutting, curling & coloring the locks of the locals!! But alas, we learned a little fact that had been secretly hidden in the deep,
dark roots (no pun intended) of the Orcas Grapevine. We learned that Margery was an artist! Her 30 – plus years on Orcas had leaked few words
of this not-so-insignificant detail. But Jeffri— ever intuitive of the local gossip— caught this little tidbit and approached Margery about “helping him with a little glazing”
at the beloved studios of Crow Valley Pottery! Well, as they say, the rest is history!
Margery has earned her way into our hearts here at Crow Valley, and
is an absolutely indispensable part of the team!! Working with Jeffri several days each week… she also produces her own line of fabulous hand-built pottery. Done in a variety of styles, from nostalgia to
botanicals, Margie’s capable hand and skillful glazing result in distinctive offerings (by the way… there never seems to be enough of M
argery’s work, so if you see it, and you like it, you may want to take it home…).
Oh… but there is soooo much more! Margery loves to garden, loves to cook, and even loves (well, OK… ‘likes’…) to paint (as in… “paint this room, please”).
She was instrumental in the aforementioned st
udio renovations here at CVP. Living in a wonderful log home on the ‘Orcas’ end of the island, with hubby Loren, you’ll always see Margery helping out at the shows too.
